CHIEF CREATIVE OF INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CRAFT & INNOVATION
Unique Exhibition design & Event Management for
largest craftsmen
gathering.
The objective of this International conference on 'Crafts & Innovation' had a rare vision to bring together scholars, designers and craftsmen from across the world under one roof. The idea of this conference was to share knowledge and bring the first innovator- craftsmen into the highlight.
In Aandra Pradesh, Chirala been one of India’s largest weaving-focused towns, with more than 40 thousand weavers living in it, became the first choice for this event. With its unique agendas, this International conference on 'Crafts & Innovation' was a great opportunity to do some green & unique design with full of life. We designed and managed this international conference, specifically, keeping our focus on its purpose, people, climate and the location. Natural materials like bamboo, cotton fabric, jute ropes, cattle accessories were sourced within the vicinity to build the exhibition space.

The space was chosen keeping climate heat conditions in mind. A 100,000 sqft of green area was identified and designed for the International conference with gathering capacity of 6000 to 8,000 people visiting each day. Also, Chirala being primarily a weaving town, idea was to be able to accommodate as many people who would want to attend.
From massive parking area, Main entrances, Registration Desk, Workshops, Demostration shops, Khadi exhibition, Main stage, Green rooms, Food stalls, Dinning halls, Outdoor and indoor kitchens, Medical room with on duty doctor (in case of medical emergencies) and construction of 12 special toilets (later on which can be used by chirala people), we had designed everything meticulously.

BRANDING FOR THE CONFERENCE
Green Branding for the conference.
Branding was designed to connect with the weavers and their association. The concept was simple- A weaver's life is all about his tool and connection with his mind and his ultimate strength; his hands which creates everything. It was brought on the branding for the utmost respect they deserve. Also followed, no plastic use except only earthly things which led to very less wasteage.
A kit got made to share with delegates and scholars for their daily needs. Specially, keeping in mind to reduce plastic and wastage. the kit had essentials and water bottles given to them with a note, which they should re-use for 10 days to avoid disposable plastic glasses or plates. A huge amount of wastage was avoided with each and every small details.
